Our number #1 rated scanning service will convert your old slides into digital JPG images.

Convert your old 127 slides into digital images

2650dpi scan, colour & contrast restoration of any 127 "Super Slide".

We specialise in converting your old slides to high quality digital images.

127 "Super slides" are the same 2" frame size as regular 35mm slides but with a larger viewing aperture (opening) of 40mm x 40mm, as opposed to 35mm x 24mm for regular 35mm film.

Many companies scan these as regular 35mm slides and crop a significant portion off the top and bottom of the image, but in order to capture the whole image they should be scanned using a medium format film scanner.

Each slide is cleaned prior to scanning and is returned on either disc or a USB device.

The digital images are returned on disc or USB memory stick, or you can download or share them easily with family and friends using our Easy Share online viewing option.

Cleaned before scanning

Each slide is blown with filtered compressed air then during scanning infrared is used to remove any remaining dust and scratch defects.

No need to count them

We always adjust the invoice to cover the exact number of items scanned.

127 "Super Slides" only.

Why convert your images to digital ?

Having your films, slides and photos scanned and converted to digital images, not only preserves them before they deteriorate, but it allows you to view and share them using todays digital equipment, such as computers, Digital TV's, Digital photo frames, iPod's and smartphones. You can upload them onto Social Networking sites, such a Facebook or Twitter or share them with anyone you wish using an online photo album. The images can also be imported into Microsoft Powerpoint for presentation use and are suitable for use on high resolution projection systems.

Having your images scanned to digital allows you to distribute copies of the images to friends and family and can make a wonderful birthday, anniversary or Christmas gift for a family member or friend.

About our scanning processes

All items are scanned using high quality scanners that can automatically adjust the colours, brightness and contrast levels. Digital ICE4 is included on all colour slide and film scans to remove the majority of any defects, such as dust and scratches, resulting in a clearer image.

Photographs are scanned using dedicated Kodak photo scanners which have patented photo handling devices to handle your photos with care. Picture saving software also improves the image quality by checking and adjusting the colours and contrast levels.

Our standard scanning resolution for 35mm films and slides is 4000 dpi, which results in files of around 8 - 12MB in size, depending on the image content and film size. Medium format films are scanned at up to 5300dpi using the latest Opticfilm 120 scanning hardware. Photographs are scanned at 600dpi as standard.

All the images are returned as standard JPG files, exactly the same type of file from a modern digital camera. You can then use the images for any purpose, display or print. We can also return scans of slides and films in uncompressed lossless .TIF or .DNG format if you wish, for a small additional fee to cover the increased file size.

We can create a special rolling DVD video disc for you, that shows each image in turn on your TV.

We can also return your images on an SD card or USB memory stick. Simply plug the USB stick into your computer to access the digital images. Some Smart HDTV's also have USB sockets that will allow you to display your images directly onto your TV.

No job is too big or too small for us. We regularly handle small family collections of a handful of images to major digital conversions of many thousands of images from high profile publishing houses, museum archives, societies, universities and various private organisations and charities.
